MIAMI, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- Kevin Gregg worked out of a ninth-inning jam Wednesday, allowing Florida to escape with a 4-3 win over Colorado.
The Marlins won for only the second time in nine games.
Miguel Cabrera gave Florida a 4-2 lead in the fifth with a solo homer and that is the way it stayed until the ninth, when Gregg picked up his 22nd save in shaky fashion.
The win went to Byung-Hyun Kim (6-5), who gave up two runs on five hits with 10 strikeouts over 5 1/3. Josh Fogg (5-7), who had won four of his last five decisions, allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings.
