CARSON, Calif., July 31 (UPI) -- CD Chivas' Ante Razov, who had a goal and two assists last week, was selected the Major League Soccer player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
It marked the eighth time in his career that Razov, who has been in the MLS since it was formed in 1996, has won the top player honor.

Razov scored the first goal and assisted on the second in Chivas' 2-0 win over Red Bull New York Thursday and came back with an assist in a 3-2 loss to Kansas City on Sunday.
Razov has 104 career goals, four behind MLS record holders Jason Kreis and Jaime Moreno.
