MLB: Arizona 9, Florida 3

PHOENIX, July 25 (UPI) -- Livan Hernandez threw seven innings of one-run ball Tuesday, positioning Arizona to defeat Florida 9-3.

Orlando Hudson led the Diamondbacks offensively, going 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Eric Byrnes and Miguel Montero each drove in two runs for the Diamondbacks, who are winners of four straight.

Hernandez evened his record at 6-6, winning for the first time in 10 starts. He spread out seven hits and struck out five.

Dan Uggla homered twice and drove in all three runs for the Marlins, who have lost two straight after a three-game win streak.

Florida starter Sergio Mitre (4-5) coughed up seven runs -- six earned -- on seven hits in three-plus innings.
