MLB: Cleveland 8, Texas 3

ARLINGTON, Texas, July 22 (UPI) -- Josh Barfield had three hits, two RBI and two runs scored Sunday night, as the Cleveland Indians beat Texas, 8-3.

Casey Blake also had three hits -- including two doubles -- for the Indians, who won for the third time in their last four games.

Paul Byrd (8-4) held the Rangers to two runs on three hits in 5 2/3 innings.

Robinson Tejeda (5-9) went five innings for Texas, allowing five runs, with five walks and four strikeouts.

Marlon Byrd had three hits -- including a triple -- for the Rangers, who lost for the fourth time in their last five games.

Cleveland opened the scoring with a two-run fourth, when Barfield drove in Trot Nixon and Jason Michaels. The Indians made it 5-0 in the fifth, when Victor Martinez drove in Blake and Michaels finished off the outburst with a two-run single.
