Youzhny moves on in Dutch Open

AMERSFOORT, Netherlands, July 18 (UPI) -- Mikhail Youzhny cruised into the quarterfinals of the Dutch Open Wednesday with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Victor Hanescu.

Youzhny, the second seed, inherited the favorite's role in this tournament when No. 1 seed Nikolay Davydenko was defeated in the first round.

Also moving into the quarterfinals was Evgeny Korolev, who picked up a hard-earned win over Sergio Roitman 7-5, 7-6 (8-6). Florent Serra disposed of Thiemo de Bakker 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), and Robin Haase was a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 winner over Nicolas Devilder.
