MLB: Houston 4, Washington 2

WASHINGTON, July 17 (UPI) -- Hunter Pence hit a solo home run and Carlos Lee drilled a two-run shot Tuesday, pacing the Houston Astros to a 4-2 win over the Washington Nationals.

Craig Biggio added an RBI for the Astros, who snapped a four-game losing streak.

Chris Sampson (7-6) got the win as he gave up just two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings.

Ronnie Belliard and Ryan Zimmerman each hit a solo home run for the Nationals.

Tim Redding (1-2) suffered the loss as he gave up three runs on seven hits in seven-plus innings.
