MLB: N.Y. Yankees 7, Tampa Bay 6

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., July 15 (UPI) -- Derek Jeter homered and drove in three runs Sunday afternoon as the New York Yankees rallied to beat Tampa Bay, 7-6.

Jeter's two-run shot in the top of the fifth inning was his seventh homer this season. He added an RBI single in the eighth.

New York's Andy Phillips had two runs, two hits and two RBI. Will Nieves and Robinson Cano both had one RBI, while Hideki Matsui had a run and two hits for the Yankees, who overcame a 5-4 deficit to win for the seventh time in their last 10 games.

The winning pitcher was Luis Vizcaino (5-2).

Mariano Rivera recorded his 13th save.

Tampa Bay's Carlos Pena hit a two-run homer and had three RBI. Ty Wigginton had one run, four hits and one RBI; and B.J. Upton had one run, three hits and one RBI for the Devil Rays -- who have dropped four of five.

The loser was Casey Fossum (5-8).
