BALTIMORE, July 13 (UPI) -- Erik Bedard teamed with three relievers to throw a four-hitter Friday night in giving the Baltimore Orioles a 2-0 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Chris Ray worked the ninth to pick up his 15th save.

Baltimore's runs came on homers by Nick Markakis in the fourth and Corey Patterson in the fifth.

Mark Buehrle (6-5) allowed six hits over eight innings, but suffered the loss in his first outing since signing a $56 million, four-year contract extension Sunday.

Chicago put runners on second and third with one out in the seventh only to have Bedard strike out Jermaine Dye and Josh Fields to end the threat.
