MLS: Kansas City 2, Los Angeles 2 (draw)

CARSON, Calif., July 8 (UPI) -- Cobi Jones scored two second-half goals Saturday night, as the Los Angeles Galaxy rallied to tie Kansas City, 2-2, in a Major League Soccer contest.

The Wizards went up, 2-0, early in the second half, capitalizing on Galaxy defensive mistakes. Jones, who came on as a substitute in the second half, later scored twice within a span of 14 minutes.

Yura Movsisyan opened the scoring one minute into the second half after Galaxy defender Chris Klein mishandled a cross. Movsisyan picked up the loose ball and drove it past Galaxy goalie Joe Cannon.

Four minutes later, LA's Ante Jazic tried to head the ball to Cannon, but Cannon had trouble handling it and the Wizards' Davy Arnaud easily tapped the ball into an empty net.

Jones cut the lead in half in the 61st minute, picking up a rebound of a shot by Carlos Pavon and putting it past Kansas City goalie Kevin Hartman. Jones scored the equalizer on a feed from Landon Donovan, to post his first multi-goal game in five years.
