MLB: Chi. Cubs 3, Chi. White Sox 0

CHICAGO, June 24 (UPI) -- Sean Marshall yielded five singles in 6 1/3 scoreless innings Sunday as the Chicago Cubs beat the White Sox, 3-0, to cap a three-game sweep.

The only run Marshall needed came on an RBI groundout by Angel Pagan in the sixth.

Alfonso Soriano hit his 15th homer of the season and third of the series, and Koyle Hill hit a sacrifice fly in the eighth. Soriano had three hits, while three others had two hits each for the Cubs, who finished interleague play with a mark of 8-4 -- including 5-1 against the White Sox.

Marshall (4-2) walked one batter and struck out three.

Bob Howry earned his second save.

Tadahito Iguchi had three hits and Jose Uribe had two for the White Sox -- whose frustrated manager, Ozzie Guillen, was ejected in the eighth inning for arguing an obstruction call at second base by umpire Joe West.

Loser Jose Contreras (5-8) allowed two earned runs and 10 hits in seven innings.
