MLB: Florida 5, Minnesota 4

MIAMI, June 22 (UPI) -- Hanley Ramirez hit a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth inning Friday night as the Florida Marlins edged the Minnesota Twins, 5-4.

Ramirez's 10th homer of the season, with two outs in the eighth, came after his costly error in the top of the inning and produced Florida's third straight victory.

Dan Uggla hit drove in three runs with a two-run homer and a sacrifice fly, Miguel Cabrera had two hits and one RBI, and Alfredo Amezaga had two runs and two hits for the Marlins.

The winner was Armando Benitez (2-3). Kevin Gregg earned his 14th save.

Torii Hunter, Justin Morneau and Jason Kubel all had one RBI, and Hunter had three hits for the Twins, who had won two in a row.

They grabbed a quick 2-1 lead in the first.

The loser was Juan Rincon (2-1).
