Lima, Jacquelin share BMW lead

MUNICH, Germany, June 21 (UPI) -- Jose-Filipe Lima and Raphael Jacquelin Thursday both shot 7-under 65 to share the first-round lead at the BMW International Open in Munich, Germany.

Lima, who has missed the cut in his last six starts, got off to another bad start with a bogey at the first hole. He recovered, making birdies at the third and fourth, an eagle at the sixth, and three straight pars.

"I hit a very bad drive on the first hole, but in a funny way I think that helped relax me a little bit because I was a little stressed after the way I have been playing," Lima said.

Jacquelin made a bogey at No. 3, but quickly got back into red figures with three straight birdies.

"I prepared myself well for this week," Jacquelin said. "I changed my putter (Wednesday) and that seemed to work."

Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano, Paul Broadhurst and Marc Farry are tied for third at 6-under 66.
