MLB: Colorado 3, N.Y. Yankees 1

DENVER, June 19 (UPI) -- Josh Fogg gave up only one run in seven innings and Yorvit Torrealba homered as Colorado bested the New York Yankees 3-1 in an interleague game Tuesday.

Fogg allowed just four hits in improving to 3-5 for the Rockies, who have won five of their past six games and are 18-7 since May 22. Garrett Atkins and Matt Holliday each had an RBI for Colorado.

Hideki Matsui was 1-for-4 with the only RBI of the game for the Yankees, who lost for just the second time in 13 games and fell nine games behind Boston in the AL East. Melky Cabrera went 2-for-4 in the loss, while New York shortstop Derek Jeter finished 1-for-4 and extended his hitting streak to 13 games.

Mike Mussina (3-4) surrendered three runs on seven hits in six innings en route to the loss. The right-hander walked two and struck out six.
