MLB: Toronto 9, Chi. White Sox 3

TORONTO, June 2 (UPI) -- Alex Rios hit a three-run homer Saturday, helping the Toronto Blue Jays rally past the Chicago White Sox 9-3.

Facing a 3-1 deficit after six innings, Toronto scored three in the seventh and added five in the eighth when Rios nailed his homer.

Aaron Hill hit an RBI single and a two-run triple, drove in two runs and Sal Fasano added an RBI single for Toronto. Lyle Overbay collected three hits and three teammates had two hits for the Blue Jays, who have won two of three.

Winner Dustin McGowan (2-2) gave up three earned runs on five hits and three walks in seven innings. He struck out five. Casey Janssen recorded his second save.

Jim Thome, Jermaine Dye and Jose Uribe each had one RBI for the White Sox, who were held to six hits in the sixth loss in their last seven games. The losing pitcher was Mike McDougal (1-3).
