Wie, returning from a wrist injury, suffered pains in the wrist and withdrew after playing the first 16 holes in 14-over. She made a 10 on one hole and a triple bogey on another.
Sorenstam said she was pleased with her even-par 72.
"I'm going to tell you I'm extremely happy with my round, considering the circumstances," she said. "Obviously a year ago I wouldn't have been happy with it, but now I'm very happy with it."
