MLB: N.Y. Mets 4, San Francisco 2

NEW YORK, May 31 (UPI) -- David Wright had two hits and one RBI Thursday night to help the New York Mets beat the San Francisco Giants, 4-2.

Both Wright and Carlos Beltran had run-scoring hits in the bottom of the first as the Mets overcame a 2-0 deficit.

Beltran hit an RBI infield single, but suffered a bruised right knee in a collision with Giants' first baseman Rich Aurilia. He was replaced by Carlos Gomez.

Three others drove in a run, while Wright, Jose Reyes, Endy Chavez and Damion Easley all had two hits for the Mets, who have won four of their last five games.

Winner Orlando Hernandez (3-1) surrendered two earned runs and two hits in seven innings, with one walk and three strikeouts.

Billy Wagner recorded his 13th save of the season.

Aurilia and Omar Vizquel each had one RBI for the Giants, who have dropped five of six.

The loser was Matt Cain (2-5).
