MLB: LA Angels 4, Seattle 1

LOS ANGELES, May 29 (UPI) -- Ervin Santana threw seven solid innings and Shea Hillenbrand clubbed a two-run homer Tuesday, leading the Los Angeles Angels to a 4-1 win over Seattle.

Orlando Cabrera had three hits and scored for Los Angeles, which won for the fourth time in five games.

Santana (4-6) allowed four hits and a run, while walking two and striking out four to move to 4-1 at home this year, compared to 0-5 on the road. Scot Shields threw a scoreless eighth before Francisco Rodriguez picked up his 17th save in 18 chances this year by tossing the ninth.

Ichiro Suzuki singled in the first to extend his hitting streak to 22 games, and scored Seattle's only run later in the inning on a Jose Guillen fielder's choice.

Ryan Feierabend (0-1) gave up eight hits and four runs through 6 2/3 innings for the Mariners, who ended with only five hits and had a four-game winning streak broken.
