MLB: Florida 5, Chi. Cubs 3

CHICAGO, May 28 (UPI) -- Byung-Hyun Kim pitched six scoreless innings and Reggie Abercrombie homered Monday as the Florida Marlins defeated the Chicago Cubs, 5-3.

Kim (3-2) gave up three hits and three walks, while striking out five.

Kevin Gregg got the final three outs for his fifth save in five attempts.

Ryan Theriot hit an RBI single off Taylor Tankersley with nobody out, and Cliff Floyd hit a two-out, broken-bat single off Gregg -- cutting the Florida lead to 5-3. After Derrek Lee singled to put runners on first and second, Gregg struck out Aramis Ramirez to end the game.

Josh Willingham had two hits and an RBI, Miguel Cabrera had three hits, and Jason Wood had two RBI for the Marlins.

Chicago starter Sean Marshall (0-2) gave up three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings.
