The Czech Republic is looking for its first World Team title since 1987. The team was 3-0 in round-robin play this week. Argentina was 2-1 in its group play but made the finals on beating Chile in head-to-head competition. The Argentines won this tournament in 1980 and 2002.

Berdych got the Czech going Friday with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber. Jan Hajek topped Florian Mayer 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 to lock up the point before Berdych teamed with Martin Damm for a 6-4, 6-4 doubles victory over Benjamin Becker and Michael Kohlmann to complete the sweep.

The teams said Saturday's singles matches will send Berdych against Argentina's Juan Ignacio Chela while Hajek is to meet Agustin Calleri. The doubles players weren't announced.
