MLS: New York 3, Chicago 0

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., May 24 (UPI) -- Jozy Altidore scored just 55 seconds into the game Thursday night and the New York Red Bulls went on to blank Chicago, 3-0.

It was the fastest goal to start a game in franchise history, and came from a 17-year-old striker who was forced into the middle of his team's offense because of various injuries on the team.
