MLB: LA Dodgers 3, Milwaukee 2

LOS ANGELES, May 23 (UPI) -- Russell Martin scored one run on a Luis Gonzalez single and then drilled a two-run homer Tuesday as the Los Angeles Dodgers nipped the Milwaukee Brewers 3-2.

Jeff Kent, who doubled ahead of Martin's homer, and Rafael Furcal accounted for the only other hits for the Dodgers, who ended a season-high four-game skid.

Prince Fielder and Johnny Estrada drove in the runs for the Brewers, who had a modest two-game win streak halted.

Ben Sheets allowed three runs -- two earned -- on four hits with a walk and five strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. Sheets (4-3), who left with an injured finger, suffered his first loss since April 15.
