SEATTLE, May 15 (UPI) -- Ichiro Suzuki was 5-for-5 with an RBI and run scored Tuesday to lead Seattle to an 11-3 pounding of the LA Angeles of Anaheim.
The Mariners scored three runs in the first inning in a 14-hit attack that plated 10 runs by the end of the fourth inning. Jose Lopez and Kenji Johjima both had home runs for Seattle, which won for the third time in four games.
Sean White (1-0) pitched 4 1/3 innings in relief to pick up his first Major League win.
Kelvim Escobar (4-2) gave up eight runs, six earned, in 2 1/3 innings in the loss as the Angeles dropped two of their last three games.
