MLB: Houston 6, San Francisco 5

HOUSTON, May 15 (UPI) -- Carlos Lee hit his second home run of the game in the 10th inning Tuesday as the Houston Astros beat the San Francisco Giants, 6-5.

Hunter Pence tied the score in the eighth with a two-run homer for the Astros.

After a scoreless ninth, Chad Qualls (4-1) pitched a scoreless top of the 10th and Jonathan Sanchez took the mound for San Francisco in the bottom of the inning.

Sanchez (1-1) struck out Lance Berkman, but Lee hit a 1-1 pitch deep over the wall in the left-center field.

Lee and Pence were both perfect at the plate, as Lee went 4-for-4 with four runs scored and Pence went 3-for-3 with three RBI for the Astros.

Astros starter Woody Williams pitched seven innings, yielding nine hits and four runs. He also hit his fourth-career home run.
