PRAGUE, Czech Republic, May 11 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Marion Bartoli of France Friday downed Jarmila Gajdosova, 6-1, 6-4, in the quarterfinals of the Prague Open Tennis Tournament in the Czech Republic.
Bartoli looked fully recovered from her quarterfinal loss to Nuria Llagostera Vives in the quarterfinals of the Estoril Open because of an abdominal injury.
The victory over her Slovakian opponent helped the 23-year-old Bartoli advance to a semifinal for the first time this season.
In other quarterfinal results, No. 6 Akiko Morigami of Japan ousted France's Camille Pin, 6-3, 6-1, crowd favorite Klara Zakopalova of the Czech Republic drubbed German Julia Schruff, 6-3, 6-1, and Victoria Azarenka of Belarus was an easy 6-1, 6-1 winner against Slovakian qualifier Dominika Cibulkova.
Saturday's semis pit Morigami against Azarenka and Bartoli against Zakopalova.
The winners will play for $21,140 in Sunday's title match.
