MLB: Cleveland 9, Baltimore 6

BALTIMORE, May 6 (UPI) -- Trot Nixon had a career-high five hits and four RBI Sunday afternoon as the Cleveland Indians beat Baltimore, 9-6.

One of Nixon's hits was an RBI single in the fourth, part of a four-run outburst as Cleveland went ahead for good at 5-3.

Casey Blake had one run, two hits and two RBI; Jason Michaels had a hit and two RBI; and both Ryan Garko and Jhonny Peralta had two runs and two hits for the Indians -- who have split their last four games.

Winner C.C. Sabathia (5-0) surrendered three earned runs and nine hits in seven innings, with one walk and nine strikeouts.

Joe Borowski earned his 11th save of the season.

Ramon Hernandez had four hits and four RBI, while Kevin Millar and Nick Markakis both knocked in one run for the Orioles, who have split their last four games.

Loser Brian Burres (0-1) gave up five earned runs and seven hits in 3 2/3 innings.
