D.A. Weibring had a 4-under 68 and was in second place at 8-under 136. He missed a handful of short putts in the third round, but also played without a bogey.

All-time Champions Tour wins leader Hale Irwin (68) and first-round leader Leonard Thompson (73) were tied for third place at 137. Tom Purtzer (67) and Loren Roberts (72) were another shot back at 138.

"The key today was keeping it in the fairway," Hoch said, referring to the strong winds. "It gives you a lot more birdie chances."
