ARLINGTON, Texas, May 3 (UPI) -- Derek Jeter hit in his 20th straight game and had two RBI Thursday as the New York Yankees completed a double-header sweep with a 5-2 win over Texas.

The Yankees won the afternoon portion of the twin bill 4-3.

New York captured its third straight game with Doug Mientkiewicz delivering a homer, and Hideki Matsui and Alex Rodriguez producing two hits each.

Jeter has reached base in all 25 games he has played this season.

Mike Mussina (1-1) was activated before the game and worked for the first time since April 11 when he suffered a hamstring strain. He gave up a run on four hits in five innings.

Robinson Tejeda (3-2) allowed three runs on six hits over 6 1/3 innings.

The Rangers' Sammy Sosa was hit in the batting helmet by a pitch from Brian Bruney in the sixth. Sosa slumped to his knees, but was able to walk to the dugout on his own power.
