MLB: N.Y. Mets 6, Washington 2 (12)

WASHINGTON, April 28 (UPI) -- David Wright and Carlos Beltran both knocked in two runs in the top of the 12th inning Saturday night as the New York Mets beat Washington, 6-2.

Julio Franco tied the game, 2-2, with an RBI single in the top of the ninth.

Beltran and Shawn Green both scored once and had two hits, and Damion Easley also had two hits for the Mets, who have split their last four games.

The winner was Aaron Sele (1-0).

Ronnie Belliard hit two RBI doubles, and had three of the seven hits for the Nationals, who had won their previous two games.

The losing pitcher was Saul Rivera (0-1).
