MLB: Arizona 3, San Francisco 2

PHOENIX, April 27 (UPI) -- Doug Davis held San Francisco to one run on seven hits in seven innings Friday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Giants, 3-2.

Stephen Drew had two hits, including a two-run double, and Alberto Callaspo knocked in a run for Arizona, which won its third straight game.

Davis (2-2) struck out four.

Jose Valverde earned his ninth save of the season, despite giving up a pinch-hit home run to Mark Sweeney that pulled the Giants to within 3-2 in the ninth.

Randy Winn had three hits, including a solo home run, and Barry Bonds had a hit and drew three intentional walks for the Giants, who had en eight-game winning streak snapped.

Barry Zito (2-3) gave up three runs on seven hits in seven innings for the Giants.
