NBA: Dallas 112, Golden State 99

DALLAS, April 26 (UPI) -- Jason Terry scored 28 points Wednesday as top-seeded Dallas downed Golden State 112-99 to even their first round Western Conference series at one apiece.

Dirk Nowitzki netted 23 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Mavericks, who snapped a six-game losing streak to Golden State dating back to last season. Josh Howard posted 22 points and 11 boards, while Jerry Stackhouse notched 17 points and eight boards in the win.

Stephen Jackson scored a game-high 30 points for eight-seeded Golden State, which Sunday earned its first playoff victory in 15 years. Monta Ellis scored 20 points, and Jason Richardson added 14 points and 10 boards.

Game 3 of the best-of-seven series will be Friday at ORACLE Arena.
