MLB: Atlanta 11, Florida 6

MIAMI, April 24 (UPI) -- Pete Orr's two-run single sparked a four-run, two-out rally in the ninth inning Tuesday as the Atlanta Braves defeated the Florida Marlins 11-6.

The Braves scored 10 of their 11 runs in two-out situations. Braves starter Mark Redman, lasting only three innings, gave up six runs on seven hits.

Scott Thorman and Jeff Francoeur had three hits each for the Braves. Francoeur drove in two runs and scored twice, and Thorman drove in two and scored once.

Peter Moylan (1-0) pitched three innings of shutout, one-hit relief to earn his first major league win.

Florida starter Rick Vanden Hurk gave up six runs on four hits while walking four in one inning of work. Matt Lindstrom (0-1) took the loss for allowing one hit and one run in one inning.

Cody Ross had a three-run homer and five RBI for the Marlins.
