SEATTLE, April 19 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored a game-high 20 points Wednesday as Dallas trounced Seattle 106-75.
Dallas quickly turned the contest into a rout with a 33-16 advantage after the first quarter. The Mavericks' lead was 61-37 at the half and Seattle never came within 20 points in the second half.
The Mavericks will be the No. 1 overall seed and have homecourt advantage throughout the playoffs. Their final record was a franchise record 67-15.
Rashard Lewis scored 14 points to lead Seattle, while Andre Brown had 12 points and four rebounds. Chris Wilcox added 11 points and Damien Wilkins had 10 points and three steals for the SuperSonics, who closed the season with five straight losses.
