ST. PAUL, Minn., April 18 (UPI) -- Niklas Backstrom made 28 saves Tuesday as Minnesota avoided elimination with a 4-1 win Tuesday over Anaheim in Game 4 of the Western Conference quarterfinals.
Minnesota got goals from Brian Rolston, Pierre-Marc Bouchard, Marian Gaborik and Mark Parrish. Pavol Demitra had two assists as the Wild made it a 3-1 series.

Chris Pronger had the lone goal for the Ducks, which had their seven-game playoff win streak over Minnesota snapped. Ilya Bryzgalov gave up four goals on 36 shots in the start. Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped all four shots he faced in 9:15 of third-period relief.
Anaheim gets another chance to close out the series as Game 5 shifts back to the Honda Center in Anaheim on Thursday.
