MLB: Colorado 5, San Francisco 3

DENVER, April 18 (UPI) -- Yorvit Torrealba's three-run double off Kevin Correia keyed a five-run eighth inning Tuesday as Colorado spirited a 5-3 victory away from San Francisco.

The Giants' bullpen spoiled another strong outing by starter Matt Cain, who gave up two hits and three walks but no runs in seven innings. Cain struck out seven. Correia (0-1) took the loss.

Jason Hirsh gave up three runs on six hits with three walks and five strikeouts over seven frames for Colorado. Ramon Ramirez (1-0) pitched a scoreless eighth and Brian Fuentes did the same in the ninth for his third save.

The Rockies' bats were quiet until the Steve Finley homered off of Vinnie Chulk in the eighth. Garrett Atkins hit a two-out single, Todd Helton walked and Matt Holliday reached on an infield single to load the bases. Brad Hawpe walked to force in a run, Torrealba cleared the bases with his double.

The Giants went ahead 2-0 in the third on back-to-back RBI triples from Dave Roberts and Aurilia. Randy Winn doubled home Bengie Molina in the fourth for a 3-0 edge.
