NHL: San Jose 3, Nashville 1

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 17 (UPI) -- Ryane Clowe scored the game-winning goal in the second period as San Jose defeated Nashville 3-1 Monday in Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinals.

Milan Michalek and Patrick Marleau also scored for the Sharks, who lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. Evgeni Nabokov finished with 19 saves in the victory.

Ryan Suter had the Predators' only goal. Tomas Vokoun made 38 saves for Nashville.

Nashville played without right wing Alexander Radulov, who was serving a one-game suspension handed down by the NHL Saturday for checking San Jose forward Steve Bernier from behind in Game 2 on Friday night. Radulov has four points in the series and was tied with J.P. Dumont for the team lead in the playoffs coming into the game.

Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday in San Jose.
