CHICAGO, April 17 (UPI) -- Geoff Blum hit an RBI double in the 14th inning Tuesday to give the San Diego Padres a 4-3 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
Khalil Greene scored the winning run.

Doug Brocail (1-0) earned the win by pitching two scoreless innings. Trevor Hoffman got out of trouble in the bottom of the 14th to pick up his third save of the season.
Will Ohman (0-1) yielded the winning run to take the loss for Chicago.
Rookie Felix Pie scored and drove in a run, and also made a highlight-reel catch in center in his major-league debut.
The Cubs were playing without Alfonso Soriano, as the star outfielder left Monday's game after injuring his left hamstring during the top of the fifth inning. He is expected to miss about a week.
