NHL: Dallas 2, Vancouver 0

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, April 13 (UPI) -- Marty Turco stopped 35 shots for his first career shutout Friday night, as the Dallas Stars beat Vancouver, 2-0.

Dallas evened the Western Conference quarterfinal series at 1-1, after losing Game 1 in quadruple overtime.

Jeff Halpern and Joel Lundqvist scored and Stu Barnes had two assists for the Stars.

Vancouver out-shot Dallas, 17-7, in the third period, but Turco kept the puck out of the net.

Robert Luongo made 25 saves for the Canucks.

Game 3 is set for Sunday in Dallas.
