NBA: LA Clippers 107, Portland 89

LOS ANGELES, April 14 (UPI) -- Cuttino Mobley scored 22 points Friday night as the Los Angeles Clippers trounced Portland, 107-89.

Los Angeles forged a 50-39 lead at the break, and led by as any as 27 points in the second half.

Elton Brand had 20 points and seven rebounds; while Corey Maggette and Chris Kaman scored 17 points apiece for the Clippers, who led, 80-58, entering the fourth and were never threatened.

The Clippers are tied with Golden State for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Clippers' Sam Cassell was ejected late in the fourth quarter for arguing a foul call.

Brandon Roy led Portland with 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Travis Outlaw scored 14 points; and Martell Webster had 10 points and five rebounds for the Trailblazers, whose losing streak grew to four games in a row.
