TORONTO, April 13 (UPI) -- Alex Rios hit a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday night to give the Toronto Blue Jays a 2-1 victory over the Detroit Tigers.

Rios also hit a solo home run in the first, while Matt Stairs, Gregg Zaun and Aaron Hill all had two hits for the Blue Jays, who have split their last four games.


Winner Roy Halladay (2-0) gave up one earned run and six hits over 10 innings, with two strikeouts and no walks.

Magglio Ordonez hit a solo homer in the second, and Placido Polanco had two of the six hits for the Tigers, who had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Starter Jeremy Bonderman yielded an earned run and six hits in nine innings, with four strikeouts and no walks.

The loser was Fernando Rodney (1-2).
