MLB: Cincinnati 3, Arizona 2

PHOENIX, April 12 (UPI) -- Matt Belisle gave up an earned run and three hits in six innings Wednesday night as Cincinnati edged the Arizona Diamondbacks, 3-2.

Josh Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run; Javier Valentin hit a two-run double; while Hamilton, Adam Dunn, and Ryan Freel all had two hits for the Reds, who snapped a three-game streak.

Belisle (2-0) surrendered one run and just three hits in six innings with one walk and six strikeouts.

David Weathers earned his third save of the season.

Chad Tracy and Orlando Hudson each drove in a run; and Alberto Callaspo had two of the six hits for the Diamondbacks, who had a six-game winning streak broken.

Losing pitcher Micah Owings (1-1) was charged with two earned runs and seven hits in 6 1/3 innings with one walk and five strikeouts.
