MLB: Kansas City, 6, Toronto 3

TORONTO, April 10 (UPI) -- Alex Gordon cranked a two-run homer to power Kansas City to a 6-3 win Tuesday over the Toronto Blue Jays.

Gordon's blast backed Zack Greinke's solid six-inning start. Greinke (1-1), gave up just one run on six hits.

David DeJesus finished 3-for-5 with two runs scored and a run batted in for the Royals, who snapped a three-game skid. Tony Pena was 2-for-4 with an RBI triple.

Gregg Zaun hit a pinch-hit two-run homer for the Blue Jays, who lost for the first time in four games. Alex Rios was 2-for-4 with Toronto's other RBI.

Josh Towers (0-1) took the loss after being touched for six runs on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
