MLB: Florida 6, Philadelphia 4

MIAMI, April 8 (UPI) -- Mike Jacobs hit a solo home run in the top of the second inning Sunday afternoon to help the Florida Marlins beat Philadelphia, 6-4.

Alejandro De Aza hit a sacrifice fly, Matt Treanor hit an RBI triple, Miguel Cabrera hit an RBI double, and both Cabrera and Dan Uggla had two hits for the Marlins, who won twice in the three-game series.

Winner Scott Olsen (2-0) allowed three earned runs and four hits in five innings, with four walks and three strikeouts.

Closer Jorge Julio loaded the bases in the bottom of the ninth, but Lee Gardner earned his first career save by getting the final two outs.

Ryan Howard hit a two-run double, and both Aaron Rowand and Wes Helms hit sacrifice flies for the Phillies, who stranded 14 runners and have lost five of six to begin the new season.

The losing pitcher was starter Zach Segovia (0-1).
