NHL: Nashville 4, St. Louis 1

NASHVILLE, April 6 (UPI) -- David Legwand scored twice Thursday night to help the Nashville Predators beat the St. Louis Blues, 4-1.

Legwand scored his first goal just 11 seconds into the contest, giving Nashville a 1-0 lead. After Christian Backman scored late in the period to make the score 1-1, Legwand scored his second goal at 12:02 of the second, giving Nashville a 2-1 lead.

Alexander Radulov scored 28 seconds later for a 3-1 lead, and a goal by Peter Forsberg (power play) at 4:12 of the third capped the scoring.

Tomas Vokoun made 21 saves on 22 shots for the Predators, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Nashville has 108 points, good for fourth place in the Western Conference.

Jason Bacashihua made 22 saves on 26 shots for the Blues, who had won three of four coming into the game.
