Dallas moved into sole possession of fifth place in the Western Conference -- two points ahead of idle San Jose -- and is within three points of fourth-place Nashville in the race for home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Greg Zanon and Alex Radulov scored, and Tomas Vokoun was beaten four times on 35 shots for the slumping Predators, who have lost two in a row and four of six.

Despite the loss, the Predators remained one point behind Detroit in the Central Division.
