NBA: Cleveland 112, Chicago 108 (OT)

CHICAGO, March 31 (UPI) -- LeBron James scored seven of his game-high 39 points in overtime Saturday afternoon to give the Cleveland Cavaliers a 112-108 victory over the Chicago Bulls.

The contest was tied at 100 at the end of regulation after Cleveland held a slim 59-53 halftime lead.

In the fourth quarter, Chicago's Ben Gordon sank a technical free throw with 39 seconds remaining to create the extra five minutes.

Sasha Pavlovic and Larry Hughes scored 21 points apiece, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 14 points and five rebounds. James finished with five rebounds, nine assists and three steals for the Cavaliers, who opened up a 1 1/2 game advantage over Chicago in the chase for the No. 2 playoff seed in the Eastern Conference.

Gordon led Chicago with 37 points and four assists. Tyrus Thomas had 27 points and eight rebounds, and Kirk Hinrich had 22 points and 11 assists for the Bulls, who had a four-game winning streak snapped.
