NHL: Atlanta 3, Toronto 2 (OT)

ATLANTA, March 29 (UPI) -- Slava Kozlov scored his second goal of the game with 36.3 seconds left in overtime Thursday night as the Atlanta Thrashers beat Toronto, 3-2.

Both teams scored once in the first and third periods to create a 2-2 tie after regulation.

Marian Hossa had a goal and an assist, and Johan Hedberg made 27 saves on 29 shots for the Thrashers, who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Hal Gill and John Pohl scored, while Andrew Raycroft stopped 24 of 27 shots for the Maple Leafs, who had won three of their four previous games.

The win gave Atlanta 91 points, five points ahead of Tampa Bay for first place in the Southeast Division and third place in the Eastern Conference.

Toronto has 84 points and trails Montreal by two points for the final playoff spot in the East with five games left.
