COL BKB: Miss. State 101, Bradley 72

STARKVILLE, Miss., March 17 (UPI) -- Jamont Gordon had 20 points and 10 assists Saturday afternoon as Mississippi State torched Bradley, 101-72, in the second round of the NIT.

MSU took control early by limiting Bradley to only 36.4 percent from the field on the way to a 44-38 halftime lead.

The contest turned into a complete rout in the second half when MSU out-scored Bradley, 57-34, shot 64.7 percent from the floor, and went on a 12-0 run late in the game.

Charles Rhodes had 17 points, eight rebounds and six blocked shots; Reginald Delk scored 12 points; Dietric Slater and Barry Stewart scored 13 points apiece; and Jarvis Varnado had a game-high 12 rebounds in just 16 minutes for the Bulldogs (20-13), who will face Florida State Tuesday night in the quarterfinals.

Will Franklin led the Braves (22-13) with 15 points and five assists.

Zach Andrews had 13 points and nine rebounds. Bradley split its final four games.
