NHL: Tampa Bay 3, Calgary 2 (OT)

CALGARY, Alberta, March 11 (UPI) -- Dan Boyle scored the game-winner with 2:01 left in overtime Saturday night as Tampa Bay topped the Calgary Flames, 3-2.

Tampa Bay took a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Nick Tarnasky.

Calgary tied the contest, 1-1, on a second period goal by Jeff Friesen.

Calgary's Craig Conroy and Tampa Bay's Vincent Lecavalier traded goals in the third period, with Lecavalier scoring at 6:35 of the third to create the overtime.

Lecavalier and Tarnasky also had one assist each; while Marc Denis made 25 saves on 27 shots for the Lightning, who assumed first place in the Southeast Division with 82 points, tied with Atlanta.

They have three more wins than the Thrashers to date.

Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 27 of 30 shots for the Flames, who have dropped two straight following a five-game winning streak.

Calgary is in eighth place in the Western Conference with 82 points.
