NHL: Pittsburgh 3, N.Y. Rangers 2 (OT)

PITTSBURGH, March 10 (UPI) -- Colby Armstrong scored the winning goal at 1:19 of overtime to give Pittsburgh a 3-2 win over the New York Rangers.

Goals by Karel Rachunek and Matt Cullen in the first and second periods, respectively, had the Rangers ahead, 2-0, when the third period began.

Pittsburgh sent the contest into the overtime when Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby both scored on the power play in the third period.

The goal by Crosby gave him 100 points of the season.

Malkin also had an assist; and Marc-Andre Fleury made 26 saves on 28 shots for the Penguins, who played beyond regulation for the fourth straight game.

They have a three-game winning streak.

Henrik Lundqvist made 20 saves on 23 shots for the Rangers, who picked up at least a point for the sixth straight game (4


2) to pull within one point of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
