COL BKB: Oregon 69, Arizona 50

LOS ANGELES, March 8 (UPI) -- Freshman Tajuan Porter scored 21 points Thursday as 18th-ranked Oregon humbled Arizona, 69-50, in the first round of the Pac-10 Tournament in Los Angeles.

Porter sank 5 of 6 three-point attempts in his highest-scoring outing of the season.

Aaron Brooks sank 4 of 8 three-point tries and scored all of his 16 points in the first half, when Oregon grabbed a 34-23 halftime lead.

Malik Hairston had nine points and 10 rebounds; and Maarty Leunen added nine points and eight rebounds for the fourth-seeded Ducks (24-7), who won their fourth straight game.

Jordan Hill led Arizona with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

Marcus Williams, who sank only 6 of 20 shots, had 13 points and three rebounds; while Chase Budinger had 10 points and two assists for the fifth-seeded Wildcats (20-10), who had a three-game winning streak snapped, but likely will receive an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
